Nicknames

  • Loafie - this nickname is the most common one used for Lopez on LL. It is derived from Dave Sims referring to him as "Lopey" throughout much of 2008 and his lacksadaisical-appearing effort on the field.
  • J-Lo - don't use this one
  • Jo-Lo - don't use this one either

In a 2008 game against Minnesota, Lopez delighted us all by faceplanting in the dirt while sliding on a double against the Twins.
