Jarrod Washburn

Jarrod Washburn is a starting pitcher on the Mariners. He was signed to a hefty contract after posting an excellent ERA in 2005. Despite pitching more or less the same as the previous year, his ERA wasn't nearly as good in 2006. Jarrod Washburn is a good example of why ERA sucks as a tool for evaluating pitchers.

Jarrod Washburn's hobbies include hunting, being left-handed, making wry, deadpan comments about Jamie Moyer's age and growing a beard.

Lee Pelekoudas almost got rid of him at the 2008 trade deadline and before the waiver deadline in August. Chuck Armstrong made sure that didn't happen. Fuck you Armstrong.
